Holding the Reading community at its heart, Jacobs the Jewellers aims to reach a lofty goal of raising £70,000 for the Royal Berkshire Hospital Charity. The funding will be used to purchase a Surface Guided Radiotherapy Machine for the cancer department. Throughout the year, the Reading jeweller will hold a series of events to raise the funds for the much-loved local NHS trust.

For the second quarter of the year, one of the highlights was a skydiving initiative: On April 22nd, a team of ‘Jacobs Jumpers’ mustered the courage to skydive which helped raise over £8000. More initiatives are running in parallel including every 2018 purchase completed being entered into a prize draw. The lucky winner will receive a 0.70ct diamond on an 18ct white gold pendant worth over £4000.

To help reach the £70,000 target, this award-winning Reading jeweller is also holding a quarterly raffle draw. Prizes will vary from Jacobs own watch, jewellery, gift partners and local businesses. Click here to buy tickets.

The exciting events held by this award winning, Pride of Reading jewellers have encouraged many jewellery aficionados and local businesses to join the cause. As of August 9th 2018, Jacobs the Jeweller was able to raise £20,500 towards the goal.

More Series of Events Hosted by the Pride of Reading Jewellers

One of the upcoming highlights is the quarterly raffle draw in October 2018. For the amount of £5 per raffle ticket, anyone can definitely participate. This special 70th-anniversary raffle ticket is available to buy in the store. Proceeds will go to the Royal Berkshire Hospital Charity.

Jacobs the Jewellers also provides everyone with an avenue to take part in helping the beloved NHS trust. Direct donating for the cause can be made through the JustGiving page. Likewise, shoppers have options on how they can help out in raising the funds to buy the Surface Guided Radiotherapy for the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Catch the New Highlights this September

This year is truly filled with fun and enjoyment; events will continue to delight all jewellery enthusiasts and the entire Reading community.

For the upcoming raffle, prizes include a FOPE necklace, Workhouse Coffee bag of beans, Bulgari Book and many more. These prize baskets are in excess of an estimated £500 value per draw.

In September, there is a fundraising soapbox derby at Englefield House on September 8th. Keep watch as well on the 14th of September for a golf day at Sonning Golf Club and the program also includes a gala luxury black-tie dinner on October the 6th.

Jacobs the Jewellers in-house designers and goldsmiths are crafting the seven (7) unique jewellery pieces. Each design will showcase a specific jewellery design such as Art Deco or Victoriana. These designs range from £500 to £10,000 and cold throughout 2018 with a percentage donated towards the charity.
