We've been looking after clients for over 75 years and it's a real privilege to have helped so may with engagement and weddings rings over that time. It's also lovely to be asked to help commemorate ruby weddings with jewellery, a visible and tangible symbol of the moment.  In this article we'll look at some ideas that seem to have worked really well for us - and more over our clients - over the years. We have a dedicated page here to help with ruby wedding ideas, but below are a few examples.

RUBY RINGS

Ruby rings often come with white diamonds - these accentuate the rich red colour. Stylistically, many clients prefer a ruby dress ring - one that's worn on its own on the opposite hand to where an engagement or wedding ring is. Others prefer a half eternity ring style that can be worn with an engagement ring and wedding ring as a set of three. Sometimes half eternity rings can be transferred to the opposite hand too.

RUBY EARRINGS

We love 18ct gold ruby earrings, and most preferred are two styles, shown below. Hoop and stud earring styles are the most common, and typically come in 18ct gold. We tend not to make earrings in platinum, as it's a heavier metal and its durability properties aren't needed when worn in the ears. Studs are probably the most versatile, being able to be 'dressed up or down' whereas some feel that hoops are a bit fancier - but it's entirely personal!
