On Wednesday 3rd December well known Reading jewellers Jacobs the Jewellers held their annual Christmas Exhibition at Phyllis Court Country Club in Henley-on-Thames, and 2014’s event proved to be the most successful yet.
Despite Jacobs’ jewellery shop being full of some of the most desirable watches and jewellery in Reading for many miles around, over the years, they’ve found that by exhibiting outside the shop, a really enjoyable, unusual and novel occasion can be created for customers and friends to enjoy.
This year, over 20 exhibitors joined the Jacobs team, each enhancing classic Jacobs ranges with a wider selection of treasures to dazzle visitors. Jacobs the Jewellers also launched two new brands to their customers - Hulchi Belluni & Mikimoto pearls. Hulchi Belluni bring sparkling diamond rings, bracelets, earrings, and pendants to Jacobs, complementing their already glittering range. Apart from these highly-coveted diamonds, Hulchi offers amethysts, aquamarines, & other beautiful coloured gemstones. Mikimoto’s pearls are world-famous and combine an element of classic traditionalism with other more modern and contemporary designs.
As part of their launch, Hulchi Belluni and Jacobs the Jewellers co-presented a Formula 1 simulator for customers to try their speed. The fastest lap of Monza circuit won an 18ct yellow gold Hulchi Belluni bracelet - competition was fierce, the eventual winner being Mr Paxton from Caversham.
Over the course of the evening, customers browsed and bought rings, pendants, and earrings in a variety of styles. Wine and canapés gave the event a comfortable and warm atmosphere that is typical of Jacobs the Jewellers’ approach to their customers.
A record-breaking 260+ customers visited, and through their generosity, Jacobs the Jewellers raised over £1000 for Air Ambulance and other local charities.
