During 2018, Jacobs is celebrating its 70th year-long anniversary raising funds as a way of giving back to the Reading community. The ambitious goal is to raise funds for the purchase of Surface Guided Radiotherapy Machine, which forms part of cancer treatment.
So, let’s have a recap on Jacobs prize draw updates and seven (7) eras of jewellery.
Jacobs’ Fun and Creative Ways for RBH Fundraising
A series of events and initiatives are happening all throughout the year. On April 22nd, a team of five including Co-owner Adam Jacobs took a leap of faith out of the plane for the charity and raised £8232. Check the video here.
On September 8th, a successful soapbox derby was also held at Englefield House. Engine-less vehicles of all sizes and shapes were raced on an impressive track in the Berkshire countryside.
Then, on September 14th, Jacobs’ hosted a golf day at the Sonning Golf Club. Event guests were served with a three-course meal, took part in an auction and enjoyed the entire evening with spectacular prizes.
For the grand finale, a gala luxury black-tie dinner was held at the Hilton Hotel last October 6th. This black-tie event was packed: a sumptuous dinner, auctions, raffles, quizzes, VIP packages and lots of surprises to celebrate for the Reading community.
For every 2018 purchase completed an entry is included to a prize draw to win a 0.70ct diamond 18ct white gold pendant, worth over £4000.
