As I am sure you will appreciate there are a number of safety measures we have introduced for your + our team's safety. 

As of July 24th, as per government guidance, please wear a face mask in store in consideration of our team and fellow clients. 


  • Our shop adheres to the National Association of Jewellers' #StoreSafe hygiene standard, in sync with UK government guidance. All the team have been fully accredited in this. This will be actively being reviewed + enhanced as needed
  • Our team will be checking, monitoring + recording our health daily
  • Hygiene + cleaning measures are explained below in the 'in store' section

It's been quite delicate to balance our preference + reputation for personal service with the new guidance so I hope you can appreciate the following features whilst bearing with us as we also get used to them.

Easier working with us from wherevere you are

  • We now offer the ability to video consultations with us via Zoom or Facebook Messenger as well as our usual online chat, phone or email services - contact us for your appointment
  • You can ask to have repairs or orders sent to you at home via our secure online payment system
  • You can mail in repairs to us, please contact us for instructions/ advice
  • Kerbside collection can be pre-arranged with us but will require photo ID from the purchase, or pre-agreed collector and a copy will be taken: please allow time for this (please be careful with the town traffic scheme)
  • Our online shop remains open: we have added over 400 more items to our range  and will continue to do so: we send within two working days

Before visiting us

  • Please avoid visiting us if you or your households have any symptoms of illness or are isolating
  • We'd ask you (where possible) to pre-book appointments allowing us to manage the amount of customers in store at any one time via our new booking system
  • Where possible, please avoid a  large  group coming into the shop
  • If you are wearing a face covering, you may be asked to remove it outside the shop + face our external security camera for a moment

In store

  • You'll be met by one of our team who will show you to a mandatory hand sanitiser station by the front door, answering any questions you may have
  • Social distancing is in place as a general rule
  • We'll be using a mixture of discrete barriers between the team and you and/ or visors + masks  when seated at desk
  • You'll be able to try jewellery + watches on
  • We'll be rigorously cleaning our range + shop to maintain hygiene (we always do but you may see more in front of you for your peace of mind!)
  • We may not be able to let you in if we are full, please bear with us


  • Please do bear in mind repairs may take longer than historically as we need to have more cleaning + quarantines in place
  • We'll be altering watches, fitting new batteries or straps only after a required quarantine period of 3 days

Outstanding Repairs + Orders

We appreciate that many of you will have repairs or orders from pre Lockdown + will be keen to hear progress. Rest assured we have a plan in place to methodically revisit all current clients’ work. We will be in touch with you directly with a revised time frame as quickly as possible. 
We would appreciate it if you could allow us a few days between 29th June + 1st July to catch up on our administration, check in with any workshops off site (watch repairs for example) + get all our information together before getting in touch with us. We aim to contact everyone individually, though if you have not heard from us by 2nd July then please do get in touch.

1st June 2020: Re-opening update

As you are probably aware the government recently announced new policies about shops like ours and their ability to re-open last week. 

We have been preparing the shop ready for this, organising updated safety measures to protect you + our team. These are to industry leading practices: the National Association of Jewellers 'Store Safe' standard. 

As a small business we need a little time to put the final touches on our policies after the recent guidance, to safely organise the team's return to work + ensure everything is just right for when we open.

As such we will be spending a few days taking these important + necessary steps. We will email again letting you know our exact opening date soon. Please do not come into the shop until we have emailed when we are officially open.

++ UPDATE April 21st 2020++

As we're sure you appreciate, it's not as easy shopping with us just now; indeed jewellery or watches may be the last thing many of you are looking for at present. Despite being shut, we have had a number of sales enquiries, so we're now able to offer the following service to those who would like it for purchases only:

  • View our range as seen on our website here - only items in stock are available as all our partners are currently closed - the website shows our stock availability
  • If you find something you like, feel free to buy online right away or contact the shop to discuss your purchase - via phone 0118 959 0790, via online chat (click here) or via email to
  • We organise payment by card over the phone or via BACS, as well as via our normal secure online system
  • We will, once a week, collate + prepare any orders 
  • We will, once a week (soon after above!), post (or deliver with 'contactless drop off' by arrangement for orders over £1,000 within appx 15 miles of central Reading) aiming for despatch within 7 to 10 working calendar days of payment (±)
  • Given the lead times indicated, please do plan ahead!

As you know we offer a 30 day money back guarantee (click for more info). Given the store is currently inaccessible, the period for any exchanges or returns will be extended to 30 days after we officially re-open. Any sizings or adjustments will be carried out at this stage too.  This excludes repairs which will return to normal when we re-open properly.


++UPDATE 23/3/2020 ++

We are now closed. 

Regrettably as a result of the current circumstances, we have now taken the decision to close the shop.
We’re desperately sad to do so however we know it’s the right thing to do to protect our team’s health, your health, support the national effort to minimise social contact, and be in the best shape possible when we return. It may be sad for us but having worked with the Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Trust in our 70th anniversary year during 2018 we know what we face pales into insignificance compared to what the teams there are up against, as well as all the families affected by the current crisis.
Our online shop remains operational for the time being, though delivery times may be a little impaired. If this changes we will email again.
